The Green Guardian Programme

Led by Yayasan Hijau Malaysia (YaHijau) in collaboration with Green Guardian, the Green Guardian project aims to educate children aged 5 to 12 years about the importance of embracing green practices towards a sustainable future.

The Green Guardian centre is based in The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya and equipped with state of the art technology and simulation effects to create an enchanting learning experience. Instead of using the traditional classroom teaching methods, this programme will educate children through a fun, innovative and experiential manner. Assisted by the centre’s friendly staff, the children will learn and understand the concept of sustainability and ‘going green’ through an interactive classroom with highly touch-based technology and curated video content. The centre also provides a ‘One for One’ programme, which encourages children to swap books or other reading materials to preserve the environment and promote a reading culture.

The Green Guardian Mobile Units are moving classrooms with interactive rooms in which children can experience similar content that the centre provides. Currently based in Pusat Sains Negara, Kuala Lumpur, the Mobile Units are open from: 9:45am – 4:45pm, Monday – Sunday (closed on Fridays).
